Last updated: March 19, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the B2Trust platform available at b2trust.com ("Platform", "Service"), operated by B2Trust ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Description of service
B2Trust is a free business registry search platform that allows users to:
- Search for company information across multiple official government business registries
- View company profiles with registration details, status, and other publicly available data
- Download company reports in PDF format
- Access registry coverage information through our API Map
The Platform aggregates data from publicly accessible government registries and presents it in a unified, user-friendly interface.
3. Eligibility
The Platform is intended for business use. By using B2Trust, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, are using the Platform for lawful business purposes, and will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
4. User accounts
4.1 Registration
Some features may require account registration. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4.2 Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour, including but not limited to automated scraping, excessive API requests, or attempts to circumvent platform limitations.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to extract data in bulk without prior written permission
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Platform's technical infrastructure
- Use the Platform to harass, defame, or harm any individual or entity
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense data obtained through the Platform without attribution
- Overwhelm the Platform with excessive requests intended to degrade service for other users
- Attempt to access administrative functions or data belonging to other users
- Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable laws, including data protection regulations
6. Data accuracy and limitations
6.1 Data sources
All company data displayed on B2Trust is sourced from official government business registries. We aggregate and present this data as-is from the source registries.
6.2 No warranty of accuracy
While we strive to present accurate and up-to-date information, B2Trust does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed on the Platform. Data may be delayed (registry updates may not be reflected immediately), incomplete (not all fields may be available from every registry), or subject to change (companies may update their registry entries at any time).
6.3 Not a substitute for official verification
B2Trust is an informational tool. The data provided should not be used as the sole basis for business decisions involving significant financial commitments, legal proceedings or regulatory compliance, or due diligence processes where official certified registry extracts are required. For legally binding information, always consult the official registry source directly.
7. Intellectual property
7.1 Platform content
The B2Trust platform design, code, logos, trademarks, and original content are the intellectual property of B2Trust and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
7.2 Registry data
Company data sourced from public registries remains subject to the terms and conditions of the respective government authorities. B2Trust does not claim ownership of registry data.
7.3 User-generated content
If you submit content through the Platform (such as contact form messages), you retain ownership of your content but grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
8. API and integration use
If B2Trust provides API access:
- API usage is subject to rate limits and fair use policies
- API keys are personal and non-transferable
- We reserve the right to revoke API access for violations of these Terms
- API availability is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee
Specific API terms and documentation are available at the designated API documentation page.
9. Pricing
B2Trust is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, existing free features will remain available unless we provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any changes.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- B2Trust is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Platform
- We are not liable for any decisions made based on data obtained through the Platform
- We are not liable for temporary unavailability of the Platform or any data source
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which, for the free tier, is zero)
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold B2Trust harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.
12. Third-party services
The Platform relies on third-party services including government business registries (data sources), Netlify (hosting), Supabase (database), and Google Analytics (analytics). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.
13. Modifications to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, add or remove registry sources, change features or functionality, and update these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which B2Trust operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
